My affection for Taiwan… is witnessed by everyone. My wife is Taiwanese and I am a son-in-law of Taiwan. I am half Taiwanese.

Despite the humidity we had a wonderful day learning about the history and culture of this area. And making our flying lantern was a great finale.

This day tour was well organised and interesting. We particularly enjoyed wandering the stalls in Jiufen, and making our own lantern in Pingxi. Our tour guide Ting was excellent and went out of her way to give us an enjoyable day. She was very informative and particularly helpful to my elderly parents, who appreciated her extra attention. She was always ready to take photos and videos for us too. Much appreciated.
